There's nothing more entertaining than playing the Belgian license-plate game: Spotting the next in the series of plates, always issued in alpha-order!

No dogs allowed

On certain streets, it's not enough to have no parking signs -- Belgians have to confuse people by putting up signs like these -- one on each side of the street to regulate alternating parking times. Note that on the 15th of the month, cars must be moved from the permitted to the prohibited side of the street between 7:30 p.m. and 8 p.m.!

[Photos Copyright PTC Inc.] Even worse is a sign like the one below (mainly found in the countryside), which indicates that parking is allowed on the side of the road with uneven house numbers from the 1st-15th of the month and on the side with even numbered addresses from the 16th-31st) -- same changeover period applies, but still! Whatever happened to good, old-fashioned clarity?!
