Heard it through the Stibvine...

I've never quite figured out the Belgian penchant for playing piped-in music in public squares or at metro/tram stations, but today in Brussels the tunes were nice and summery: Rum & Coca-Cola (Andrews Sisters), Dancing Queen (Abba) and Wouldn't It be Nice (Beach Boys)...I hereby put in my request for Girls Just Wanna Have Fun (Cyndi Lauper), Everybody (Backstreet Boys) and Mambo No. 5 (Lou Bega)!

Big-name performers

Coming soon to a concert venue in Belgium: Neil Diamond at the Antwerp Sportpaleis (May 29), Backstreet Boys (May 5) and Avril Lavigne (June 21) at Forest National in Brussels, and Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band at Brussels' King B Stadium (June 23), among many more. If I had to choose just one, I'd pick Neil...and then the Backstreet Boys (Everybody...yeah!) Glad they don't leave Belgium out of their Euro-tours!
